Climbing Rinjani was incredible and would highly recommend, although it comes with a warning that it really is very hard (and we would consider ourselves pretty fit!). The organisation of the tour was good and it was great being picked up and dropped off where we needed, but it wasn’t a totally seamless experience. On the way up and down our guide took the pace much too fast – even when we made it clear we wanted to slow down – and we were served meat multiple times despite telling them we were vegetarian. We were also told we would be part of a bigger group, but it ended up just being us and the guide which was quite intense!

I booked the two day and one night trek of Mt. Rinjani. Hill was the lead guide who coordinating everything before the trek, and Endiy was our guide on the hike. Everything was organised really well and all information communicated very clearly. Getting from Bangsal to the accommodation the night before was all pre organised, and the post hike transfers to your next destination which really helps take the sting out of when you’re tired from a difficult trek.

In terms of the trek itself, our guide Endiy was absolutely fantastic. He was in great spirits which is encouraging during the more difficult parts of the hike. He often checked in to see how everyone was doing, if we needed anything (snacks, water, etc), and his good humour generally made for really great company. I had to go a bit slower at some points, and he understands that everyone needs to go at their own pace and is understanding of this. I would definitely recommend Endiy to any of my friends who were interested in doing the trek.

Also it should be mentioned the four porters were fantastic. They cooked us fantastic meals and we were very grateful for the hard work they do in carrying all the camping material, etc up to the caldera. It is a very hard job.

I had a great experience hiking Rinjani and felt safe with Endiy at all times.

I had an amazing 3D/2N trek to summit and both crater rims organized by Hill‘s company. Our guide Endi was the best, he made sure everyone of us made it to the top and we had lots of fun on the trail. Special thanks to our porters, truly amazing work they‘re doing! The food on our trek was one of the best I had in Indonesia. 🙂 Great company for solo travelers cause they‘ve shared groups every day.

This trek is definitely not for the faint-hearted! Be aware that this is a really hard trek, you should have experience hiking in high mountains and have a good fitness. The way to the summit is just crazy! Definitely wear good hiking boots and bring/rent trekking poles. Also bring lots of layers and a warm jacket, it gets really cold up there at night. But if you love hiking and mountains, this will be one of the best hikes you‘ve ever done! 🙂

take the following- good boots, warm clothes, windstopper, beanie, gloves. it’s starts off hot but gets incredibly hard.

My girldfriend and I took a 2 Day 1 Night to the summit of Mt Rinjani and the first thing that comes in mind is that it was really amazing. The Lead Guide Hill and his team were exceptional from the very first contact via Whatsapp until the goodbye at drop off after the trek. The organisation outside of the trek itself was perfect; transfer from the airport to Senaru, the accomadation was ready for us when we arrived, the trek’s explications in details with advices on what to bring and what to not bring, and the drop off after the trek. Really reliable!

The trek itself is really difficult to explain; it is really hard but so worth it! Once you get to the top, the view is really spectacular!! But it is also due to the fact that the trek is that hard that makes it such an incredible experience! We are two people quite active but not alpinist. Advices? One step at the time and a strong mind!

Thanks again to our team of porters, Endiy, Hill and all his team for an experience that we are not going to ever forget!

My guide Nur was one of the most fantastic guides I have ever had and I have been trekking for many years. He shared some much about Indonesian culture and the history of Rinjani. He always made me feel safe and put myself and the others as a priority. The hot springs and the summit where my highlights.

Nur even managed to light a fire on the summit because we were so freezing (everyone was very jealous). Upon returning back to the Village, he brought round his mothers own rice wine and we had a great time reflecting on the experience. Highly recommend!

Wow! What an experience, journey and tour guide (team). The 2 day 1 night summit tour was tough from the beginning, but so rewarding. Nur and his team were fantastic, guiding us up and down the mountain, providing us with all the food (fuel) we needed and being all round good guys! Nur even created a small fire to keep us warm at the summit to keep us warm whilst waiting for the sunrise! Would recommend to anyone thinking of doing the trek.

I had an amazing experience hiking up Mt. Rinjani organized by Hill. It was very tough but we were cooked an amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner and were taken care of amazingly.

Yun @yun_rinjani is the best Rinjani guide you can get. I took the 3days 2nights Sembalun- Mt Rinjani- Crater lake- Senaru trek. Yun is patient and encouraging. He even made me a Special birthday Breakfast! Thank you, Yun for guiding me on my Solo Rinjani adventure!

Yun is an excellent guide that will be there for you from the start to the end of the hike. Rinjani is a tough trek. And you need a good team with you. I can only recommend to go hiking with them. This was a really hard experience for me but I am thankful for the people that helped me during this journey. The team is exceptional, they will bring you delicious meals everyday and snacks that will help during the hike.

I did the 2D1N tour with them and I am glad I met those people that made me live this experience. Such an incredible trek, amazing people all along (thank you Yun for everything). Hope to see you again when I am back to Lombok.
