We recently completed the Rajani hike with this agent. The guides and porters were all friendly and helpful.

However, we were not provided with the adequate number of hiking poles, which were included in the price (three hiking poles for nine people in our group). This significantly hindered our hiking experience.

On the second day of the ascent to the summit, one guide took charge of our slowest member who gave up after an hour. The guide escorted her back to the crater camp and never returned. The other guide instructed us to proceed on our own midway through the hike and never caught up with us. We ended up following the guides from other groups and requesting energy bars and other supplies.

Essentially we made did the summit part (the most challenging and dangerous part) with out guides and hiking poles.

It was a wonderful hiking experience. The views are stunning and the weather was good.

However, it was really energy demanding for the last 400m summit.

Our guide Andy helped us a lot, he carried water and food for us which lowered our loading.

Amazing hiking experience. Our friendly guide Yot was very experienced and knowledgeable about the history of Mt Rinjani and helped us through the challenging climb that tested our mental will.

He did his very best to ensure our safety during the hike and we felt comfort in his guidance.

The prepared food was amazing, with a wide platter of fruits included with each meal. The tents came with a nice cushioned camp mattress that is better than the simple mats we saw the other hiking groups had.

I did the 1N2D with Hill and his team. Awal was our guide and honestly – the best experience we could have asked for. The porters were incredible and tended to everything we needed. Food was amazing and we were well looked after. The hike is challenging and the super cold at the summit so I’d recommend being prepared for that! I didn’t bring gloves and really suffered. However, such a rewarding hike. Would definitely recommend Hill and his team.

What an experience! 3 days, 2 nights! It’s a hike with magnificent landscapes, strong emotions and lots of laughter.

My advice: 1. be in shape. (Even in good shape the 3 days 2 night program is difficult) if you are more or less in shape opt for the 4 days/3 nights option with the same route. This included many more breaks and relaxation with the same breathtaking views!

2. Take an expensive company. The more you pay the more comfort you have at the top. Choose a company that brings back their waste – there is already enough of it on the mountain!

3. Ask for a specific guide. (Regardless of the company, find the name of a guide with good reviews and ask for it specifically) We went up with Yot. A guide who speaks English very well, he spent the days telling us stories about his culture and the history of his country. Funny stories from past customers! It passes the time. He also knows the names of the many fruits/animals and trees on the route. He also demonstrated a humanity that I have encountered too little in our Western society. Yot gave his own stockings to a Hindu man coming to pray at the top of Mount Rinjani barefoot with multiple sores on his feet. He stopped to give explanations/help and encouragement to the orphaned trekkers from other dispersed groups. Was able to create a spirit of mutual aid and teamwork in our group. It really made all the difference compared to the group who had a guide who barely spoke English.

4. Lately: transport or rent linen/clothes to be comfortable at a temperature of -5°C. (0 degrees + wind at the summit)

Very challenging hike but Endiy and his team (Ron, Dean, Ares) made it really amazing. We had so many good moments with them, we laughed together, enjoyed delicious homemade meals, shared about culture and language … I will always remember Endiy and his team’s kindness, unconditional smiles, and admirable courage. Thank you Endiy for being so open minded, for your good sense of humour in all circumstances, and for carrying and sharing your beautiful values.

It was my first hike but is was the best experience. Our guide Endij was amazing!!! He made sure we all felt good and made us laugh a lot.

I loved al the views, sunsets and sunrises and the food they made for us was everytime amazing.

We did the Crater Rime 2D1N and it was amazing, either our guide Endiy or our porters were at our disposal all the time for anything we needed, Endiy was acompaining us and we could share with him nice talks during the hike, so we recommend this tour and we are very happy with the guide we had.

We had a really nice walk with Sting and the porters. They work amazingly hard and create a good atmosphere, even though climbing Mount Rinjani was really difficult for us. The equipment (tent, sleeping bag, poles) was available and of good quality. Hill took complete care of us and arranged everything.

Very good experience! We did the 3 day 2 nights, Sting was our guide for the whole trip. He made sure that everyone was ok and informed us about the planning, so we didn’t have to think about anything. We were with 5 customers in total, as one of the couples, we had our own tent, which was great. Everything was taken care of by Sting and 4 porters. The homestay at the start was basic , but fine. Excellent experience overall, would highly recommend.
