Honestly, what a hike. Our guide Yot and his porters were amazing. Almost too good that we felt bad leaving some of the incredible food they cooked for us (pictured). It’s a trip well worth putting the effort into as the views and experience is stunning.

The trip was wonderful, the food was more than perfect, lots of attention from the whole team.

The group was able to separate so that everyone could achieve their goal.

My partner and I did the 2D1N hike to the crater rim – wowwww!!!! Our trip was organized by Hill, who is very responsive and kind. Everything was taken care of – lodging for the night before the trek, food on the trek, camping gear, etc!

Our guide up the mountain was Yun – we enjoyed joking with him and learning more about Indonesia. He kept with our pace and made us feel comfortable to ask for more breaks during the trek up. I’ll say that it was definitely a challenge! I have pretty short legs so some of the climb up was a bit challenging for me, but Yun was there to literally lend a hand. The view from the top was phenomenal – I can’t believe we live in a world that can behold so much beauty. There was quite a bit of cloud cover, but it blew away here and there and gave us the chance to see inside the crater, as well as the view to the sea.

And the food!!!!!!!! Easily the best food we’ve eaten in Indonesia. For dinner, the porters prepared the most amazing curry.

It rained halfway down our descent. Torrential downpour. But it was a fun part of the adventure. We all laughed through it and when it came time for lunch, the porters had prepared a rain shelter for us all to eat.

Overall this was the adventure of a lifetime. You won’t regret it. (If you come mid-September, truly bring some warm clothes for the top!!)

What an experience this was! The whole trip was really well organized. We were kept informed of everything. We had many changes ourselves and everything was handled really well by Hill.

I hiked rinjani with our guide Endiy. He was a great guide for the trip with constant offerings of local knowledge and guidance as well as keeping us well fed and hydrated. Additionally, the porters on our hike were also great and cooked lovely food.

Would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking to add a challenge to their holiday/ travels. From the easy organisation with Hill to the accommodation for the night before and the hike itself, these guys were great from start to finish and well worth it.

The organisation of the trip by Hill was very good. We were picked up from Bangsal port and driven to very comfortable home stay in Senaru for the night. Our guide Sting was excellent- took the trek at our pace with frequent stops for water and biscuits. The porters Timmy and Tuan were amazing – the food they produced was excellent ( loads!) and the weight they carried up and down the mountain in flip flops was insane!

Although it is listed as EASY the trek was hard! I think we are reasonably fit but it was 7 hrs continual uphill walking and a good 5.5 hrs down on very slipping scree and dirt- very dusty.

The views at the top were amazing, beautiful sunset and great views of the lake.

One of the most challenging but rewarding experiences I have done!

Our guide Endiy was so great, always offering us snacks, guidance and great company. The porters cooked amazing yummy food! Tents and camping was nice.

Definitely recommend this tour company.

It was hard so you need a good level of fitness but also mental preparation!

we had a hard, but at the sane time amazing experience at the mountain. Would always recommend the 3D2N tour, as you see a lot more of the bautiful volcano. Endiy and his porters were really helpful and supporting. A bit of a downside is the big amount of trash on the mountain, but thats a general problem and not the companys fault.

What a great experience! We had such a good time during this trip, special thanks to our guide Eddy and the hard work of our two porters! They did everything to give us the best experience.
