The Pergasingan Hill trek is tailored to those who seek a less challenging yet equally rewarding experience. This is a 1 day trek with stops at waterfalls & strawberry fields.
Pergasingan Hill, standing tall amidst the sprawling rice fields of Sembalun, offers an exhilarating climb that is sure to bring joy to your adventurous heart. Rising to approximately 1750 meters, we’ll ascend about 600 meters up, a climb that typically lasts 1.5 hours. Some of the most amazing in all of Lombok!
This trek is nestled in Sembalun, not far from Mount Rinjani. So close, in fact, that we cross paths with the launch point for the Mount Rinjani Trek. The majestic sight of the huge volcano in the backdrop on the other side of the valley adds another dimension to the beauty of our Pergasingan Hill Trek. The locals call this trek ‘Bukit Pergasingan’, translating to Pergasingan Hill.
This trek is only for groups of 2 or more only. We do not accept solo trekkers for this trek.
From the port or airport, you will be brought to spend the night at our homestay. During the busy season we offer multiple locations to stay.
Waroeng Senaru is our preferred homestay. All of the rooms have air conditioning. The accommodations are basic but each includes their own bathroom with warm showers & wifi. You can choose to eat from the small menu of local dishes they make. This homestay is also 3 minutes from the entrance of the waterfalls, making it very convenient.
Villa Bamboo is a more natural experience in bamboo huts. The location is beautiful and rooms are cooler at night because of their location higher on the hill. There is no air-conditioning, but there is wifi, a restaurant, and a wonderful place to watch the sunset. Walking to the waterfalls is not difficult and you are right next door to the Senaru Traditional Village.
Travelers usually arrive an Bangsal Harbor via Bali or Gili Islands. Some travelers may arrive via Lombok airport. In both situations, we offer transportation to our homestay in Senaru as part of your package. You will arrive at our homestay and have dinner. You will be able to enjoy beautiful views from our outdoor dining area as well as watch monkeys right below you. You can also walk to Tiu Kelep waterfall which is only 20 minutes by foot. The trail is right in front of our homestay.

02:30 – Wake up for early morning coffee and tea.
03:30 – Depart from Senaru to Sembalun.
04:30 – Commence trek up Penansignan Hill in the dark.
05:30-06:00 – Arrive at Penansignan Hill, just in time for sunrise.
06:30 – Enjoy breakfast with the view of the sunrise adjacent to Mt. Rinjani.
07:30 – Swing on the hill top, with a view over Sembalun village.
08:30-09:00 – Start descent after breakfast.
09:30 – Enjoy the local strawberry farms pick fresh strawberries.
10:00-11:00 – Return to Sembalun village.
11:00 – Depart for Mangku Sakti Waterfalls.
1:00 – Depart for homestay
13:00-14:00 – Lunch at homestay.
Post lunch – Transport to next location such as Bangsal Harbor.where you will spend the night.

11:00 – 12:00: You MUST be picked up by our driver no later than 1:00pm for this schedule to work.
14:00: Arrive at our homestay in Senaru.
14:00: Lunch will be provided at the homestay in Senaru upon arrival.
15:00: Departure from Senaru to Sembalun village and the base of the trek.
16:00: Arrival at Sembalun village, immediately followed by the commencement of the hike up Penansignan Hill. A short stop at the local strawberry farms is included on the journey.
18:00: Reach the summit of Penansignan Hill, just in time for sunset. Take some time to unwind on the swing overlooking Sembalun village.
19:45: Descend Penansignan Hill.
20:30: Arrive back to Sembalun Village
21:30: Arrive back at our homestay in Senaru.
08:00 – 09:00: Wake up slowly and enjoy breakfast served at our homestay.
10:00: Depart for a scenic walk to the Tiu Kelep Waterfall. Enjoy tranquillity of this paradise-like location.
13:00 – 14:00: A light lunch will be served back at our homestay.
14:00: Our driver will take you to your next destination.
