What are the best snorkelling spots in Komodo?

Kanawa Island, Komodo Cruise, Komodo Cruises, Komodo Island, Komodo Itinerary, Komodo National Park, Komodo Snorkeling, Komodo Tours, Labuan Bajo, Manta Point, Pink Beach

Komodo National Park is one of the best snorkelling destinations in Indonesia, with clear water, bright reefs, and a huge variety of marine life. Some locations are spectacular even for beginners, while others offer deeper drop offs and bigger animals for more confident swimmers. The most famous spot is Manta Point, where snorkellers often see groups of manta rays gliding peacefully close to the surface. When conditions are calm, it is one of the most memorable experiences on any Komodo trip.

Pink Beach is another highlight. The soft pink sand comes from crushed red coral, and the shallow reef right off the beach is full of colourful fish and coral gardens. It is ideal for relaxed snorkelling, especially on days with lighter waves. Taka Makasar is just as stunning. This long sandbar sits in bright turquoise water and has gentle currents on the protected sides, making it one of the easiest and most beautiful places to float and explore.

Kanawa Island and Manjarite are also excellent snorkel sites on many itineraries. These areas have very clear visibility and calm water, which is perfect for both beginners and families. Marine life is abundant, including clownfish, parrotfish, turtles, and healthy coral formations. On our 3 day 2 night cruise, we plan the snorkelling stops carefully so guests avoid the busiest crowds and experience each site in the best possible conditions.
