Are drones and loud music restricted in Komodo?

Drones are allowed only in certain parts of Komodo National Park, and there are strict rules about where you can fly them. You cannot use drones on Komodo Island or Pink Beach because these areas are protected and have wildlife that can be disturbed by drone noise. Padar Island is usually allowed, as well as some sandbars and snorkelling spots, but always check with your guide first. Regulations can change from season to season, and rangers sometimes restrict drone use on busy days to keep the area safe and peaceful for everyone.

Loud music is also restricted in Komodo because the park is meant to be a calm natural environment. Boats should respect the other vessels around them, especially during sunrise, sunset, and wildlife viewing. A little quiet music on board is fine, but blasting speakers is not allowed and is considered disrespectful to both other travellers and the wildlife. Most of our cruises focus on a relaxing atmosphere, although we sometimes host small DJ sessions on private charters where it does not disturb others.

In general, Komodo is a place where guests come to enjoy nature, clear water, peaceful mornings, and night skies full of stars. Being considerate with drones and music helps preserve the beauty and tranquility that make the park special. Our crew will always guide you so that you can enjoy your trip while following all park rules and respecting fellow travellers.
