How do I get to mount rinjani?

Getting to Mount Rinjani is straightforward, and most travelers reach the mountain either by flying into Lombok or by taking a fast boat from Bali. The easiest way is to land at Lombok International Airport (LOP), which connects directly to Bali, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore. Once you arrive, our driver can pick you up and bring you directly to Senaru, the main gateway village for Rinjani treks. The drive takes about two and a half hours and follows scenic roads through central and northern Lombok. This route is smooth, reliable, and ideal for travelers who want the fastest and most comfortable arrival.

Another common way to reach Mount Rinjani is to travel from Bali by fast boat. There are two major departure ports on Bali. Padang Bai is the busiest port and offers multiple daily fast boats heading toward the Gili Islands and northern Lombok. Serangan, located closer to Denpasar, is another popular departure point with several reputable boat operators and a slightly more relaxed boarding process. Both ports offer efficient service, and the boat ride to Lombok usually takes between one and a half to two hours depending on sea conditions.

Fast boats from both Padang Bai and Serangan arrive at Bangsal Harbor, which is the main arrival point for visitors heading toward Mount Rinjani. After you arrive at Bangsal, our driver will meet you at the harbor and bring you straight to our homestay in Senaru. The drive takes about an hour and passes through northern coastal villages and hillside scenery. This route is especially convenient for travelers who spend time in Bali or the Gili Islands before beginning their trek.

Once you reach Senaru, the preparation for your Rinjani climb is simple. You check in at the homestay, receive your briefing, rest for the night, and begin your trek the next morning. Whether you choose the airport or the fast boat from Bali, the journey to Mount Rinjani is easy, well supported, and fully arranged by our team once you reach Lombok.
