Phone signal in Komodo National Park is very inconsistent. Once you leave Labuan Bajo and sail toward the islands, the network becomes weak and often disappears completely. Some areas like Padar or parts of Komodo Island may give you a short signal, but it is not reliable enough for calls or data. Many travellers enjoy this break from constant notifications and use the time to relax, snorkel, and enjoy the scenery.
A few premium boats, including our El Rora phinisi, are equipped with Starlink which provides a steady internet connection even in remote parts of the park. This is helpful for guests who need to send a quick message, upload photos, or stay reachable. However, not all boats offer this and regular mobile service should not be expected.
If staying connected is important for you, let us know so we can match you with a boat that provides on board Wi Fi. Otherwise, consider the cruise a chance to disconnect and enjoy one of Indonesia’s most beautiful national parks without distractions.
