Is there Wi Fi on Komodo cruises or any mobile signal in the park?

Some Komodo cruises offer Wi Fi, but not all of them. Mid range and luxury phinisi boats are more likely to provide Wi Fi on board, and the signal is usually strong enough for messaging, checking emails, or sending photos. Our main boat, Elrora, does have Wi Fi available for guests, which makes it easier to stay connected during the trip. However, the connection speed can vary because the boats travel through remote areas with limited coverage.

Mobile signal is available in certain parts of the national park, especially near larger islands or when the boat is sailing closer to Labuan Bajo. Once you move deeper into the park or anchor in more remote bays, the signal becomes weaker or disappears entirely. Travelers can usually expect a mix of connected and offline periods throughout the cruise.

Most guests enjoy the partial disconnect since the scenery and activities keep them busy throughout the day. Snorkelling, hikes, meals, and relaxing on deck create a natural break from phone use. When Wi Fi is available, it is often used for quick updates rather than heavy streaming or large uploads.

If having internet access is important to you, choosing a boat with Wi Fi is the best option. We can guide you toward cruises with stable connectivity, including Elrora and several of our partner vessels that offer similar features.
