Komodo tours are not canceled very often, even during rainy season. Most tropical rain in Flores comes in short bursts, and boats can still operate safely. Light to moderate rain does not affect the itinerary because activities like snorkelling, hiking, and cruising can continue without any issue. Many trips run completely normally even when the weather is a bit wet.
Cancellations usually happen only when the sea becomes too rough or when the harbour authority closes the port for safety. This is not common, but it can happen at any time of year, especially if strong winds or large swells appear. Safety always comes first, and the captain will only cancel if conditions genuinely make it unsafe to sail.
