Rain is a normal part of the tropical climate in Flores, and Komodo tours continue even when the weather turns wet. Light or moderate rain usually does not affect the overall experience because most activities such as snorkelling, cruising between islands, and short hikes can still be enjoyed safely. Komodo National Park is beautiful even in the rain, and visibility in the water often remains surprisingly good.
If the weather becomes heavier or more unpredictable, our crew may adjust the itinerary to keep everyone comfortable and safe. Sometimes we sail toward areas where the sky is clearer or choose activities that are less affected by rain. For example, snorkelling is perfectly fine in light rain and can be just as enjoyable. The goal is always to give you the best experience possible for the conditions on that day.
Major storms or dangerous conditions are rare, but if they occur the crew follows safety guidelines from local authorities. In those cases, plans might be delayed, altered, or rescheduled. Most of the time though, rain showers pass quickly and the tour continues smoothly. Tropical weather can change fast in Komodo, so a little flexibility helps ensure you still enjoy an amazing trip.
