Yes, drones are allowed on Padar Island. Padar is one of the few major viewpoints in Komodo National Park where flying is still permitted, and many travellers bring drones to capture the famous three-colored bays from above. As long as you fly responsibly and avoid crowded areas on the trail, it is generally fine.

Pink Beach and Komodo Island are different. Drones are not allowed at Pink Beach because it is a protected coastal zone with strict rules to prevent noise and disturbance. They are also not allowed on Komodo Island itself due to wildlife protection, especially around the dragons. Rangers will stop you if you try to launch a drone in either place.

If you want drone footage, the best locations in the park are Padar, Kelor, Kanawa, and some of the small uninhabited islands. Your boat crew can point out the safe and legal spots during the cruise.
